Hello, I’m Annette Sloly and I am an experienced Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist BA Hons. DHP HPD DSFH CNHC MNCH (Reg) with a lifelong interest in mindfulness, neuroscience and corporate experience, it gives me great purpose to help people build the resilience they need in order to manage anxiety and stress and ultimately lead happier lives.
Being wholly committed to my personal and professional development; as well as cultivating curiosity and compassion over the years has helped me hone my approach and informs my work in the areas of anxiety and stress. Over the years I have had the pleasure of working with a range of people from all walks of life in both the public and private sector as well as in specialist areas of performance psychology – fear of public speaking, stage fright and optimal performance in the performing arts and sports performance.
As a highly qualified and experienced Solution-Focused Hypnotherapist, I work in an integrative way so I can employ the very best from a wide range of tools and evidence-based techniques that can include: Positive Psychology, Solution Focused Therapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Ericksonian Hypnotherapy, Hypnosis, Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in order to enable clients to realise a more positive future where they are better able to manage their symptoms, thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a modern, evidence-based approach that helps to promote a relaxed, positive, mindful awareness, helping clients to make beneficial lifestyle changes.
Why Hypnotherapy for anxiety and stress?
Hypnotherapy combines evidence-based, clinically proven therapeutic techniques (talking therapy) with Hypnosis (trance) to help people make positive changes and improve their quality of life. It is a safe, enjoyable, proven and effective method that is used to access and harness the power of the subconscious mind. It is within the subconscious mind that our automatic thoughts, habits and beliefs are held. These drive our decisions and shape our lives – the way that we choose to see ourselves, and our reality. Thanks to a process called Neuroplasticity or brain plasticity which refers to the brain’s ability to change throughout life, we can strengthen and grow new pathways. Whilst we are in trance, our brains are optimally primed for plasticity, enabling positive new connections to form and create change in our thoughts and behaviours. Hypnotherapy is a collaborate effort, working together in partnership to make positive changes and to achieve agreed goals. This is achieved through talking therapy and hypnosis which enables, and empowers you to bring about the positive changes and positive outcomes that will help you to manage stress and anxiety more effectively.

‘Annette has been fantastically helpful for me, straight from the first session I was sure that I’d made the right decision in booking a session. She has really helped me transform how I deal with stressful situations. I am now able to take a step back from challenges and think clearly in making decisions. In addition to this, she’s helped me learn stress reduction and mindfulness techniques, which have helped me to really develop a feeling of calmness and reduce anxiety. This has had an immense impact on my life as I feel I can now be myself in all situations, without stress and anxiety holding me back.’
