Supporting your mental health online
It is a privilege to support individuals who need help to manage their mental health from the comfort of their own homes with online sessions.
I use the video conferencing platform Zoom Pro with business broadband. Zoom is free to download, stable, and has been chosen for the additional encrypted security it offers, which makes it more confidential than platforms like FaceTime or Skype. Zoom can be used on desktop computers, laptops, phones, and tablets and is available for Android and Apple devices.
The benefits of online sessions
If you’re not used to chatting or working online, it may seem strange at first, but all my clients have found that they get used to it pretty quickly, and a lot of them prefer online sessions to therapy sessions in-person, as it is ‘green’, and they can access support from the comfort of their own homes. From experience, I know that online sessions’ therapeutic benefits are equal to those gained from working in person, and current research supports this.
Accessing support on Zoom
Each Hypnotherapy session lasts 55 minutes, called ‘The Counselling Hour’. It is a simple process: Once your initial online consultation is confirmed after a chat via email or phone, I will then send you details on how to access Zoom.
