The first step is to book a comprehensive consultation and assessment on Zoom Pro with business broadband. This is a relaxed Q&A, a discussion of the issues for which you are seeking help and an explanation of how the brain works, how we experience emotions in the way that we do and what we can do to help ourselves. After the consultation, I will email you a Guided Meditation MP3 produced by an award-winning BBC Radio Producer. The Guided Meditation helps you to relax, improves the quality of your sleep and consolidates the work that we are doing together in the sessions.
The subsequent sessions are generally split into two parts. The first part of the session is a discussion based on Solution-focused questions and techniques which are positively directed and goal-oriented. The intention is to allow a perspective shift by guiding you in the direction of hope and optimism to support you on your path of positive change. The second part is where we used Hypnosis, which is a relaxing trance state where your imagination can be guided and shaped to enable you to achieve the outcome that you want.
Relevant, supporting resources are often emailed to you to help inform and support you between appointments. Each session lasts 55 minutes, called ‘The Counselling Hour’, and the number of sessions required is ascertained in the first appointment, with 9-12 being the average requirement.
Hypnotherapy is a safe, reliable method of treatment for many problems, has no harmful side effects and is suitable for just about everybody. Hypnotherapy is effective; however, results may vary, and success is not guaranteed. Full client commitment is important. Just as it requires effort to build and maintain physical health, so it is with mental health.

If you are seeking help with a medical problem, Hypnotherapists work in addition to your medical team and it’s always best that you check with them first before embarking on a course of Hypnotherapy.
Your sessions are not recorded, and no photos or screenshots are taken and I politely ask my clients to honour this agreement.
Although online Zoom support offers more flexibility around time and schedules, the client is expected to have the same commitment to online therapy as you would be asked to have for any face-to-face appointments. Punctuality and commitment and honouring the cancellation policy are just as important when accessing help via online Zoom sessions.
Disclosure of all information during therapy and consultations remains confidential unless there is a risk of harm to yourself or others. Please be aware that I may discuss your case in supervision sessions. I will not identify you in these sessions.
