If you’ve ever tried and failed to lose, put on, or sustain a healthy weight then you probably know just how frustrating it can be – especially if feelings of stress, low self-esteem, low levels of confidence and impatience are common.

Because body shape and size is so tied in with the Western idea of beauty, we are constantly seeking out ‘quick fixes’ to cut corners. It’s not unusual for people to get into a cycle of fad dieting, overeating, feeling guilty and dieting again. While diets and nutrition plans focus on what you eat and how often, hypnotherapy for weight loss or gain changes how you feel about what you eat and help you sustain a long-term strategy for healthy weight management, and improve confidence.

It might be hard to imagine a world where you’d happily turn down your favourite food for something healthier, but with weight management hypnotherapy techniques you can change your thinking patterns and gain control over cravings, developing a healthier relationship with food, exercise and your body, and how you feel about yourself.

An important thing to remember is that hypnotherapy is a complementary therapy, and therefore, should be used alongside a healthy eating plan and exercise regime. If you want advice about eating better and exercising, you may find it useful to speak to your GP or a nutritionist. It is often a combined effort of all these things that leads to success.
